Caribbean Thanksgiving

For being our first Thanksgiving away from family...we were sure lucky to have family come to US! My late-eighty-year-old grandparents from Arizona made the long two-day trek down to St. Kitts to spend a few days with us over Thanksgiving. I couldn't believe they did it, and I was so happy to know that the 3:00 pm American Flight that flies over my house everyday actually had someone on it that was coming to see ME!

Above is Nana and Grandpa with little Mimi on the South Peninsula. They loved this drive and Mimi loved playing games in the back with Nana during our "long" drives around the island.
Here we are at "Bobsy's." It's a bar and grill in Frigate Bay that Nana and Grandpa treated us to. Life here is pretty nice when you're a tourist...experiencing the island not on a student budget! Hahahaha...
We spent the actual Thanksgiving dinner with good American friends from church. (Didn't get any pics...sad). The kind Allred family opened their house at the Marriott Resort to a wild bunch of Mormons and we chowed down! It was a very special day, and we felt lucky to have been included when we are such newbies to this island! The food was incredible, the company was enjoyable, and all-in-all, it was a great day that we will remember with fondness...our First Caribbean Thanksgiving!
