The labor was awesome...seriously. I was so ready to have this baby, but I was very nervous to go through labor and delivery because Mia's was a little long, and well...painful. If there ever was an opposite, ever...this was it.
The labor was only 3 1/2 hours which both Dave and I mostly slept through, if you can believe that. The pain meds were done well, and we were both exhausted from no sleep the night before, so we slept! The nurse came in to wake me up and check on me, and I was dialated to an 8. She said we needed to prepare to push and that he'd be here within the hour.
I quickly woke Dave up and told him to run to the car to get the cameras. In no time, Kainoa arrived, and the experience was wonderful. Perfect. Emotional. And heavenly. I loved every second of it. My first thought as soon as I saw him was "Oh....I'm in love." It's amazing how your love is not divided with a new child...it is just multiplied. We are sooooo lucky.
